I am an osteoarthritis sufferer with significant osteophyte growth on my spine which causes me muscle and nerve irritation on a daily basis. I have tried several NSaid medications and unfortunately tend to suffer side effects such as stomach upset and also severe headaches. I have heard so much about the benefits of cbd oil for arthritis pain relief. My reluctance to try it steams from lack of regulations around full content disclosure. I have a long standing family history of mental illness (skizophrenia). I would want to know 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt that what I was getting was TCH free as TCH does exasperate my anxiety disorder and studies do show a correlation between TCH and the onset of psychosis, at least for those who have a genetic predisposition.

Among common CBD benefits, natural pain relief tops the list for many. Evidence suggests that cannabinoids may prove useful in pain modulation by inhibiting neuronal transmission in pain pathways. A 2012 study published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine found that CBD significantly suppressed chronic inflammatory and neuropathic pain in rodents without causing analgesic tolerance. Researchers suggest that CBD and other nonpsychoactive components of marijuana may represent a novel class of therapeutic agents for the treatment of chronic pain. (4)
CBD does not appear to have any psychoactive (“high”) effects such as those caused by ∆9-THC in marijuana, but may have anti-anxiety and anti-psychotic effects. As the legal landscape and understanding about the differences in medical cannabinoids unfolds, it will be increasingly important to distinguish “medical marijuana” (with noted varying degrees of psychotropic effects and deficits in executive function) – from “medical CBD”.
Over decades, researchers have found that THC may help treat pain, nausea, loss of appetite and other problems, while CBD was thought to be biologically inactive in humans. But in the past 10 years, scientists have concluded that CBD may be quite useful. Dozens of studies have found evidence that the compound can treat epilepsy as well as a range of other illnesses, including anxiety, schizophrenia, heart disease and cancer.
Over the past decade and especially in recent years the medical field has invested a lot of time and resources into the study of CBD with some astounding results being discovered. Though it must be stated there is still much to uncover about the safety and efficacy of CBD products. But recent results from several studies from well respected medical institutions are suggesting CBD may help improve the quality of life for many people through providing a safe, powerful and natural treatment for many different health conditions.
Our supplements are derived from industrial hemp, not to be confused with marijuana. Industrial hemp is a legal plant from which many popular foods are harvested. To create our products, we extract a full spectrum of compounds from the hemp plant. This full spectrum contains a stunningly varied array of phyto-cannabinoids, including CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, and much more. Our extracts contain less than 0.3% concentration of THC, the component from Cannabis sativa L. that causes a high.

Derived from the stalk and seed of cannabis (hemp) plants, cannabidiol (CBD) oil or CBD hemp oil is a natural botanical concentrate that is high in the compound CBD. Of the more than 85 cannabinoids so far identified in the cannabis plant, CBD is the second most common after tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychotropic and therefore doesn’t cause a euphoric high.
The successful use of Cannabidiol to relax you and induce a calm state of mind has been widely reported. Chemically, it’s strong antioxidant properties has to date been widely ignored by the broader food supplements industry. First, let’s look at the differences between the plants that make CBD oil. To start with, the two plants look physically different. This is due to the different reasons that both of them are grown. Cannabidiol has been found to act as an antagonist of the GPR55, a G protein-coupled receptor and putative cannabinoid receptor that is expressed in the caudate nucleus and putamen in the brain. It has also been found to act as an inverse agonist of the GPR3, GPR6, and GPR12. Although currently classified as orphan receptors, these receptors are most closely related phylogeneticaly to the cannabinoid receptors. In addition to orphan receptors, CBD has been shown to act as a serotonin 5-HT1A receptor partial agonist, and this action may be involved in its antidepressant, anxiolytic, and neuroprotective effects. It is an allosteric modulator of the μ- and δ-opioid receptors as well. The pharmacological effects of CBD have additionally been attributed to PPARγ agonism and intracellular calcium release.
The extraction process we use to make our CBD oils produces a full spectrum of over 80 different phyto-cannabinoids. This spectrum includes CBN, CBG, CBG-A, CBC-A, CBC, and of course high levels of CBD.
This breakthrough is one of the most exciting discoveries in the field of epileptic seizures. As we’ve outlined, Cannabidiol, or CBD, has receptors throughout your body, called the endocannabinoid system. Human beings can supplement this CBD system to aid and strengthen the immune system and other functions. Just like you may take vitamin c from an orange to supplement your health, CBD intake improves your endocannabinoid system and overall health. The increasing prevalence of CBD oils for the management and treatment of various illnesses has inspired cannabis breeders to propagate certain strains. The goal of manufacturers is to yield hemp plants with higher CBD to THC ratios to minimize, if not, eliminate, the psychoactive side effects caused by THC. According to research, the best source of high-quality CBD derives from organically grown cannabis with up to 20% CBD concentration by dry weight.

There are plant-based cannabinoids and also phytocannabinoids, both with a variety of health benefits.

Only recently, marijuana and chemically related compounds have come back to being considered of therapeutic value. A prominent compound found in marijuana or cannabis, CBD, or cannabidiol, has shown to treat numerous diseases. Researchers believe that in view of the very low toxicity and the generally benign side effects of CBD, neglecting or denying CBD benefits and its clinical potential is simply unacceptable.
What makes CBD especially appealing is that it doesn’t get the user high. Most recreational marijuana users want this effect, of course, but many patients would rather avoid it. This has allowed CBD to sidestep many of the political, legal and medical concerns that have hindered the spread of medical marijuana.
